Motorola which is owned by Lenovo is gearing up to host an event on August 2 at its headquarters in Chicago, is going to launch the Moto Z3 along with Motorola One and Motorola One Power smartphones. The event has been scheduled for 2 PM CDT, which is around 12:30 AM IST, August 3. Motorola made official the launch date via an 11-second video posted on the company’s official US YouTube page. Separately, Motorola said in a statement to The Verge that it is going to present “a whole new way to connect” and the news will “change the way people use and relate with their phones.”
Motorola is the oldest mobile manufacturing company, which was founded in 1928 and gave the world its first commercial cellular phone, named Dynatec, in 1983. The company sells its smartphones under the Moto and Droid brands, while its smartwatch is sold only under the Moto name. The company split the mobile and enterprise divisions in 2011, with the smartphone unit being purchased by Google. The owner of Motorola Mobility has since changed hands, and it is now owned by China’s Lenovo.
The Motorola One mobile features a 5.8″ (14.73 cm) display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and runs on Android v8.1 (Oreo) operating system. The device is powered by Octa core, 2.2 GHz, Cortex A53 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. For graphical performance that can make games run smoothly, this phone has got an Adreno 508 GPU. Onboard storage is at 64 GB with the option to expand the memory by Yes Up to 256 GB. As far as the battery is concerned it has 3500 mAh. Over that, as far as the rear camera is concerned this mobile has a 12 MP camera.
Motorola One Power is speculated to come with a 6.23-inch full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixel resolution) display with 19:9 aspect ratio.
The phone could be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
Other sensors include a Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope. So, does it have a fingerprint sensor? Yes, it does.
The dual camera setup could include a combination of a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor.
The phone is expected to ship with Android Oreo. The front shooter could be 8MP.
As per reports, Motorola One Power could pack a 3,780mAh battery and likely ditch the 3.5mm audio jack.
